Experiencing Yurt Accommodations in Southern France

If you love the lush green landscapes of southern France but prefer to avoid the usual tourist spots, the Oustamura Yurt & Breakfast is a fantastic alternative. Nestled in the Mercantour National Park, this charming retreat features traditional yurts, which are circular huts commonly used by the nomadic people of Central Asia. These yurts blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings and are set at an elevation of 1,400 meters.

The park hosts three yurts on a farm located a couple of hours from Nice, managed by Corinne, who is skilled in martial arts and oriental calligraphy. Each yurt covers 27 square meters and can accommodate 4 to 5 people. They come with an outdoor bathroom and a nearby solar shower. Your stay here includes breakfast, offering a cozy and comfortable experience.

Prices for a night’s stay range from 25 € per person to up to 60 € per person, depending on the specific arrangements. Additionally, if you appreciate being in close contact with nature, you’ll love the farm’s 42 Cashmere goats. You can even purchase wool from these goats during your visit.
