Affordable Stay in Berlin: Spend Just 1 Euro per Night at a 1M2 House

Fed up with overpriced and rundown hotels charging you €70 for a tiny, dirty room? Berlin has a unique solution for budget travelers: the 1M2 House.

The 1M2 House is dubbed the smallest house in the world. It stands two meters tall with a base measuring 70 cm by 100 cm. It’s super easy to transport, assemble, and disassemble, making it perfect for those on a tight budget. This innovative tiny home was created by architect Van Lee Bo-Mentzel and was showcased at the BMW Guggenheim Lab in Berlin.

For just one euro per night, you can stay in these small mobile homes. If you want to use it during the day, your office colleagues can also grab it for the same price. When set up vertically, it turns into a cozy office corner complete with a desk.

One euro a night is an amazing deal for staying in Berlin, and the flexibility to choose where you want to park your tiny house is an added bonus. The house is made from wood and waterproof plexiglass, with a sliding window, door, small desk, chair, and a mattress measuring 180 x 70 cm.

You can reserve the accommodation through Airbnb. For luggage storage, bathroom access, and kitchen facilities, arrangements are made with the EastSeven Hotel. This hostel also offers space in its garden for parking the house in bad weather or other situations. However, note that Airbnb requires a minimum booking fee of €10, but the difference will be refunded when you take possession of the house.
