Off the east coast of Queensland, Australia, you’ll find Fraser Island, a stunning place that’s 120 km long and 24 km wide with a small community of about 360 people. Lake McKenzie is one of the most stunning lakes, spanning 150 hectares and being just over 5 feet deep. Its beach is made up of almost pure silica. You’ll also find various gardens, plants, and animals like the Dingo, giving you a glimpse of what many consider paradise.

Today, Fraser Island is a designated nature park with strict rules to preserve its beauty. You can reach the island by taking a ferry from River Heads or a charter flight from Sunshine Coast Airport.
