Captivating and Innovative Hotels of the Year

New hotels from around the world have recently opened their doors and we’re thrilled to show them to you.

Imagine a stunning property on a tiny private island in the Maldives, nestled in white sand. Picture tropical chic villas either on the beach or with their pools seamlessly blending into the ocean. You can relax in hammocks strung between coconut trees and even enjoy dining experiences right in the water, close to a floating barbecue. Not to mention, the spa here offers top-notch services courtesy of the London-based brand ESPA. Impressively, within just a month of its debut, this property has already made it into the top 20 spa resorts globally.

Berlin, Germany’s capital, has always been known for setting trends. The latest example is the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin. Walk into the rooms and you’ll find hammocks in the bedrooms, an industrial architectural design, and a fascinating mix of folk and modern decor. This hotel is part of a historic building complex from the 1950s, which includes the notable Zoopalast cinema and is close to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial. The hotel blends modern luxury with affordability; rooms that overlook the Tiergarten park and Zoo start at just 89€ per night. The hotel’s unique urban style is the brainchild of German designer Werner Aisslinger, who aimed to create an original urban experience reflective of Berlin’s evolving vibrancy and trends.

In Paris, located in the 9th arrondissement, there’s a new hotel that looks like it stepped out of the 19th century. Think atmospheric lighting, baroque touches, eye-catching wallpapers, and vintage items that evoke earlier romantic eras. The predominant colors are shades of gray, pale brown, and cozy navy blue, giving it a charming, timeless feel.

Over in Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Davos near the foot of Mount Flüela Pass, stands a remarkable hotel that looks somewhat like a spaceship landing amidst the stunning Alpine landscape. While the outside is strikingly futuristic, once inside, you’ll find a blend of classic European elegance with sophisticated urban decor. The distinctive colors and stylish setup almost make you feel as if you’re in a European capital. However, the breathtaking view from the windows reminds you that you’re indeed in the heart of the Alps, at the renowned ski resort of Davos.
