The hot springs aren’t the only reason tourists flock to the Chushin Yatsugatake Kogen Quasi-National Park near Nagawa, Japan. Located about 2000 meters above sea level, this spot offers expansive views of the Japanese mountains and even a glimpse of Mount Fuji from the Ogato vantage point. The Utsukushi-ga-hara Kogen Art Museum features around 400 pieces of art in a permanent exhibition set against a lush natural backdrop. Among the many intriguing installations, you’ll find legless and headless zebras, highly stylized motorcycles, angels dancing on cylindrical columns, enormous boots, and inverted pyramids.
