Italy’s coastline is a treasure trove of stunning bays, charming coves, natural harbors, exotic beaches, serene shores, and dramatic rocky nooks. We have compiled a list of Italy\u2019s most spectacular secret beaches, perfect for those dreaming of a bright blue paradise.<\/p>\n

In the heart of eastern Italy, in the province of Puglia, lies Vieste, a popular resort town with many beaches. The most beautiful one is Castello Beach, known for its miles of soft sand and a huge white rock that dominates one of its edges. According to legend, a girl named Vieste turned to stone while waiting for her lover, a fisherman who set out one morning and never returned.<\/p>\n

The best time to visit is at the beginning of summer when the surrounding hills are adorned with colorful flowers and grasses. The rock formations here are also quite impressive.<\/p>\n

Castello Beach is sometimes referred to as the 300 Steps Beach due to the many stairs you need to descend to reach the dark blue waters. Alternatively, you can approach the beach by sea. Nearby, many famous people have villas, including Franco Zeffirelli. Being on the south side, this beach gets more sun than any other in the area. You can either relax in the organized guest spots or simply lay your beach towel on the sand without needing a lounger.<\/p>\n

This beach is one of the most unique in the world. The water features a kaleidoscope of different shades, transitioning from pure white to spots of pink sand. Even the locals can’t get enough of its beauty.<\/p>\n

Choosing a beach in this part of Italy can be difficult. However, this particular beach is set against a dramatic backdrop where sandy shores end at rock cliffs, with houses precariously perched above.
