Moulin de Maître Cornille | Experience the Charm of a French Windmill Stay

A while back, we came across some stunning photos of the Pont du Gard, a Roman-built aqueduct bridge in the south of France, close to Nimes. If those pictures sparked your curiosity or if you’re planning a short getaway in that area, here’s a unique place to stay that combines originality with a warm welcome.
Located in Castillon du Gard, about 30 kilometers north of Nimes, you’ll find the Moulin de Maître Cornille, a beautifully restored white windmill. This charming place has three bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Outside, there’s a small swimming pool with views of the surrounding woods and valley. It can comfortably accommodate 5 to 7 people and is tastefully decorated. From the photos, it certainly seems cozy and inviting.
One of the best features of this windmill is the view. Some of the windows offer a glimpse of the distant Roman bridge overlooking the valley. If you’re interested in renting the Moulin de Maître Cornille, the rates start at 750 euros per week during the low season and can go up to 1200 to 1800 euros in July and August, depending on the exact period.
